Guitar Restorations Inc. is a small guitar shop located in Havre de Grace, MD. Since opening in 2004, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch.
Together we have over 65 years experience in all phases of guitar work! Most of our customers are professional players, but we also welcome the novice as well.
It is always good for a player to build a solid relationship with a good repair shop.

Wow, what can I say about Bill? I have known him for over 40 years, and have worked off and on with him for over 35 of those years. Fantastic guitar player, session man, singer/songwriter, and the best guitar tech I know! He is truly a master! Bill has been playing guitar since he was a child. Also mandolin, bass, pedal steel, piano and others. An artist when it comes to set ups, and he does the finest sunburst finishes you will find!
Charles Carter - Master Guitar Tech
After playing guitar for several years his early teens, Charles had a hand injury that pretty much ended his rock & roll career. Even though he could not play any more Charles was still very much interested in the guitar! After several years of working part time with his friend Bill, he managed to pick up some skills that would help him to become a decent guitar tech. Well, that continued for almost 30 years, and Charles and Bill are still working together to bring their customers the best service available.

Set Ups
Setting up your guitar (or getting your guitar set up) is a lot like a tune up for your guitar.
Or better yet – it’s like optimizing your guitar so it feels and sounds great when you play.
Electronics
We fix everything from scratchy sounding pots to worn switches and inputs that can cause your guitar to suffer from a variety of symptoms including popping and scratchy sound, sloppy movement and intermittent or total loss of connection.
Finishing
It's impossible to deny that the finish adds to the visual appeal of a guitar, however its primary purpose is to protect the material underneath. Having a great finish on your guitar is something that you don't have to justify with us.
Neck Resets and Fret Repair
At some point, all guitars will need to have a neck reset or fret repair completed. Let us breathe new life back into your great guitar.
